Beijing data center seeks reliable, low-carbon, intelligent power solution
Kangsheng Data Center’s goal is to become a “low-carbon and green data center” with 24/7 system availability. As China’s US$30 billion data center market continues to underpin its booming digital economy, Kangsheng needed an energy management solution that would ensure reliability while supporting its low-carbon commitments.
Launched in 2016, Kangsheng Data Center provides a vast 12,800 square meters of colocation space in Beijing for leading domestic and multinational companies. In line with its sustainability goals and China’s wider carbon peak and neutrality targets, the facility required a complete upgrade to ensure power security for critical information and data assets while minimizing energy consumption.
In the context of the energy-intensive data center industry, where even a second of power downtime can have huge implications for financial losses and reputational damage, it was equally important to achieve this while ensuring the highest levels of power reliability.
