Protecting critical infrastructure

The San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility is responsible for cleaning Silicon Valley’s wastewater to protect public health. But as one of the world’s primary economic engines, Silicon Valley is a key target for cyber attacks by foreign states. Because of its importance to the city’s infrastructure, facility leaders knew they needed a best-in-class approach to cyber security.

The plant is the largest advanced wastewater treatment facility on the West Coast. It treats an average of 110 million gallons of wastewater per day (mgd), with a capacity of up to 167 mgd.
