The wind tunnel creates lift using six 400 kilowatt fans, each operated by asynchronous three-phase ABB M3BP 400LA electric motors and ACS 800 variable speed drives.

More than 55,000 people enter the wind tunnel each year, ranging from experienced skydivers to families and corporate outings.

ABB Ability™ empowers insights for safer, smarter operations that maximize resource efficiency and contribute to a low-carbon future.
